Background

Qimat graduated with a B.A. from the University of Calgary where she completed her undergraduate degree in Law and Society (with a minor in Political Science). She then completed her LL.B at the University of Exeter in England

Experience

Qimat articled with one of Alberta’s top immigration and refugee law firms where she focused on various immigration applications and appeals. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2021. Qimat’s expanding law practice focuses on: Immigration and Refugee Law, Real Estate, Family Law, Wills and Estate Planning , Personal Injury and Commercial and Civil Litigation.

Qimat has represented clients before the Provincial Court of Alberta as well as the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta on family and divorce related matters. She has also represented clients on all levels of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada as well as the Federal Court of Canada.
